I am wondering if anyone else had spindle cell melanoma?? It is hard to find any information on it. The mole Igad removed looked like any normal mole and i had had it for years. I was pregnant when I became concerned about it but noone else was. Once my son was 2 months old i made them take it and we dont have any accurate information. This was in Nov 2014. I am currently waiting for my 2nd opinion on my SLNB. First one was negative but I am worried because my original mole went from no mitosis to a mitotic rate of 3 (making me 1B) with different opinions.so now i am worried something was missed ๐ any information on spindle cell melanoma would be greatly appreciated!!

I was told mine is spindle cell. In fact, it was first misdiagnosed as a spindle cell carcinoid of the lung. After correct diagnosis I've asked my doctors if the "spindle cell" aspect of it had any meaning in a treatment or progression basis. No one so far has been able to tell me anything specific about it. I'll be curious to see if anyone else responds to your question with better information.

Hi, I just had an excision biopsy of my breast that was a tumor of spindle cells according to the surgeon. Am waiting on the pathology report. I've had Melanoma twice early stage in the leg.
Everything I've read is discouraging. A Christmas miracle would be nice.
