Interesting. While topics on this forum don't usually make me lough, this one did. Thinking of getting fecal implants from other people helping you battling cancer is really crazy.

I know!  But fecal transplants have been effective in treating c. difficile.  I'll bet the more we learn about biomes the more effective cancer treatments become – here's hoping anyway.

I was recently at a conference that also spoke about treating obesity with fecal transplants.  Interesting science.  The gut plays a bigger role in many diseases then previously thought of.

Hey, whatever works!  I'm reminded of how often I tried to get my dog to stop eating poop.  Looks like he was just trying to improve his microbiome!

This article is a f***ing trip. I'm on my 3rd immunotherapy treatment — each has had a beneficial effect for a time.

So if IPI is $120,000 for 4 infusions, how would a dollop of golden poop be worth?

If this bears out, I would think it would be the top story by far at ASCO whatever year the results come to fruition in humans.

Well it will certainly be interesting to see if this leads anywhere.  In the meantime, I find myself wondering if there are any "probiotics" out there with these microbes in them…. couldn't hurt, could it?

That is exactly what i was thinking.

If i was doing  Ipi then i would be trying to source these probiotics if possible.

Everyone should look to include probiotics in their diet anyway through either a good quality organic yogurt or kefir or sauerkraut. I wonder if any of these have the strain of probiotic needed for Ipi to work?

I've always eaten lots of organic Greek yogurt with a probiotic. However, I had major digestive issues on Ipi/Nivo and just Opdivo. I tried kombucha but wasn't a fan. My doc had me tried a probiotic and I've felt great ever since! There's definitely merit to this.
