about a week ago I had my third infusion of Keytruda. After the first two treatments I felt great and could see subcutaneous tumors disappearing. My only side effect was constipation. I am now experiencing some lower back pain. Has anyone else had that? Do you know what causes it? Could it just be the constipation is worsening? I also did Develop a cold sore for the first time in my life. The doctor immediately ordered a course of anti-viral medication. Otherwise I feel great! Just concerned about the back pain.

Hi Sfern,
I'm also on Keytruda and have had a similar experience. You should definitely bring it up to your doctor. That is not meant to scare you though as I have and I believe many others report back and/or joint pain w/ Keytruda. I have some back bone mets so this is nothing in comparison to that.
Also, I take a daily course of metamucil for digestive concerns. Obviously run it by your doc, but it has worked fine for me.

Thank you for your reply. The pain actually has gone away now. I'm wondering if it maybe was related to the cold sore virus. But who knows!? Anyway, I will definitely let my doctor know. And I appreciate your help and insight . Keep fighting the good fight.

I am on Opdivo similar to Keytuda. I had lower back pain. One day so bad I could not walk. I took Percocet for a few days and it got better. After one month the back pain went away. I also changed my mattress to a stiffer one which also helped me.
