          G,

Your dad will need to talk with his doc about his dizzy episode so that it can be sorted out and dealt with.  I doubt it had anything to do with Ketruda/pembo.  As far as anti-PD1 and brain mets (as well as ipi and BRAFi) here is a post which contains multiple additional links…one link is specifically to the preliminary results of a pembro study with foks with brain mets out of ASCO 2015:  http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2015/07/a-really-good-review-of-treatment-data.html

I wish you and your dad my best. Celeste

Thanks celeste he is being kept in by medics and kept an eye on hopefully it was just a minor setback.

do you know anything more re these new anti pdl1 drugs? He is BRAF negative so doctors told Us pembro was best out there bar trials…but if it doesn't work we need to look at other avenues.

thanks for your reply it makes sense….if the brain is full of t-cells and pembro works they should attack the cancer cells.

If you use the search bubble on the top left of my blog and enter "anti-PD1" you will probably find more data than you want.  c

                                  HI,

I had two brain mets at diagnosis.  I have been on pembro since October.  One of my brain mets is gone and the other one is shrinking.  I had radiation in combo with pembro.  The pembro seems to be working.

Good luck with your Dad.  I am so sorry.  Melanoma is bad business.
