Has anyone seen any research on what may make someone more likely to respond to treatments (specifically ipi and radiation). Our dietitian said not to have too many fruits and vegetables during radiation-something about too many free radicals. I know this is the million dollar question, but just curious what we can do to improve the odds-3c.

If only we knew!
The real answer is 'no' but here goes.
There was some very basic research in mice that suggested that having Bifidobacterium bacteria in the gut correlates with a positive response to immunotherapy.
Goodness knows if it (a) it was more than a coincidence, (b) translates to humans and (b) can be minicked by taking a probiotic but you could try taking a probiotic. I take BioKult, which contains four strains of Bifidobacterium as well as other bacterial strains but there are may formulations.

Here's a report on the bacterium Moira spoke of: http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2015/11/cooties-in-our-gut-keep-us-skinny-smart.html
And there is this on the thinking that NSAID's (like ibuprofen) can make immunotherapy work better….there are links within as the opinion has varied on this one (It is in the last article of the three in this post!): http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2016/06/asco-2016-final-odds-and-endsa-study.html
