So my boyfriend randy was on clinical trial of now approved keytruda for 3 1/2 years before having progression of two new tumors in his thighs. We signed consent and are doing scans and blood work tomorrow in anticipation for starting a new trial combining the keytruda with an agent called sd-101 by dynavex where the agent is injected directly into one tumor one a week for the first 3 weeks followed by the keytruda and injection together every 3 weeks. Hopefully the sd-101 will introduce more killer cells to attack the tumors. This is done at ucla by Dr. Ribas and I’ll keep you all posted on results.Anyone here had experience or heard of the dynavex sd-101 combined with keytruda?
Best wishes. Amanda.

Hi.
Did he have stable disease after the trial. And where else were his tumours? I've never heard of your treatment but I would be very interested to know what the rate is of progressing after keytruda and also of your results. Keep us posted and thank you for posting

Dynavax sd 101 is an immunotherapy product they are injecting as an intralesional in the way they are using PV 10 and T-VEC. Here's a pretty good report explaining it….albeit from the company: http://www.dynavax.com/our-pipeline/cancer-immunotherapy/sd101/
So sorry for your husband's progression, Amanda. Wishing you both well. Celeste

Thanks for the info celest!! And Anna he has Mets in lungs liver adrenal gland and chest wall and now two new tumors in each thigh. He initially had tumor shrinkage and then stabilized for a few years while continuing to get the treatment. He was part of the clinical trial so he basically got to keep getting it as long as he was responding. He had a pnumonia quite a few times and the last time he was in hospital for 13 days from pnumonia turned sepsis. When he was discharged we realized he had the new tumors on the thigh. Hopefully this combo will boost the immune system back up to fight this beast. I will keep you all updated on his results.

Phase I results of SD-101 and Pembro.
5 patients: 1 CR, 2 PR, 1 SD, and one PD
Not bad. 4mg and 8mg SD-101 results to be released soon.
With these results would expect to see phase III trials in the not too distant future.
