Hi,
My dysplasic neavus was itchy and was diagnosed as me!anoma as it had evolved within the mole.
Not an in transit though. If you are worried about a lesion and have a past history of melanoma I would get it checked out sooner rather than later as it is likely to be a source of worry and reassurance or early detection are both worth having…
Best wishes

Thank you Deb, I do have an appt. next Friday with my derm. I never even thought of a possible in transit, until yesterday when I realized I had another spot looking like the itchy one. Hoping they are nothing, as my lesion 10 years ago, was only stage 1.

Itching isn't tied to a particular type of lesion. Any type of melanoma lesion (and non-melanoma) can itch. Itching is a sign of change and all changing lesions should be seen by a derm.

I'll not say in transits never itch, but mine didn't…
Be encouraged, you're on it!
