Hello all – full node discection last week – 4 nodes malignant of 46 – Love Moffitt! – Radiation then 3 options… 1.  Interfuron

      2. Pilimumab

      3. Trial – Keytruda – which right now, i'm leaning toward.

      Thanks for any opinions, input.

I would get Keytruda if you can get in the trial.

You are leaning toward a good option, of those I would choose the trial as well. Less toxicity than Ipi. Interferon shouldn't even be an option. Sounds like you're on the right track.

                      Hi,

Just said much the same on another post- Keytruda – less toxicity and better results than ipi on its own- can add ipi later if needed. Think you have three votes for Keytruda as treatment of choice.

Sorry you are having to deal with all of this. It is rough in so many ways.

best of luck for your treatment

Sorry you are going through this. I agree with the plan for Keytruda…WITH radiation! I agree with the others re Keytruda (an anti-PD1 product) for the same reasons. And while radiation alone  doesn't do much in melanoma…WITH….immunotherapy (which is the category of the drugs you are looking at) the results are better than any product alone. Here's a recent post I put up with several links within:

                            http://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2016/10/one-more-timebetter-responses-when.html

On another note: I participated in an Opdivo (the other anti-PD1 product that is basically the same as Keytruda) trial out of Mofitt, making trips down there for 5 years! The nurses and staff are amazing.

                            I wish you well.  Celesye

I would pull for Keytruda as well…I'm stage III and in Canada it seems our only option now is Interfuron (which I am not doing). Best of luck on your decision (at least you have one) and your health.
