Happy New year! I just had my WLE and SNB on my right thigh on the 29th.They removed 2 groin lymph nodes so just waiting on those results. Over the last couple of days i noticed what I think is a swollen lymph node underneath my left arm pit.I have had some muscle weakness down my upper right arm that i thought was a pulled muscle from sleeping on it wrong over the last few weeks. I am freaking out! Any advice?

The armpit lymph node swelling is more likely to be from infection or cold, something small going on inside that your body is fighting off. It's the opposite side of your primary, so it would be very unusual for it to be related to melanoma. The arm weakness is also not likely related. After hearing you have any kind of cancer diagnosis it's easy for us to be hyper aware of things happening with our bodies and assume cancer involvement first… when it's still more likely to be something benign.
Wishing you all the best in this new year!

Hi,
Do you have a return app't with your surgeon coming up soon? Hopefully, you'll get your results back quickly, and lymph nodes are negative. Maybe call your doctor and see if you can get in this week if you still think the arm pit lymph node is swollen.
