I went to the Dr on Monday for a skin exam, and one of my moles are melanoma 2mm. I am going to UCSF early next month for further testing. Waiting is a bitch, a scary bitch. I appreciate these site

You got biopsy results fast, so that's kind of nice that part of waiting is over. I go to UCSF and love it there, so you'll be in good hands. The waiting game is the worst, try and stay occupied to help keep your mind off the what ifs that tend to pop up during the waiting periods. Wishing you all the best.

When you say "going to UCSF for further testing" do you mean reviews of your skin or scans (PET/CT)?

I ask because there has been difficulty in finding the source of my melanoma in neck lymph nodes. So I'm always interested in any alternate or advanced ways of having my skin checked. (8 moles removed so far and all tested negative, Opthamologist checked my eyes)

It is to extract (if any) the rest of the mole or tumor. They are going to do a lymph node biopsy at the same time.
