      Has anyone had Melanoma start as a blister that has liquid in it? I accidentally broke a blister that I didn't even know I had and all the fluid came out. I'm getting the area on my leg checked next week but just wondering if it could of been the start of another melanoma.

          Would this be suspicious for you had you never heard of melanoma?  Probably not.  That is the perspective you need to cultivate because despite our imagination, most things aren't melanoma.  All we can say is if you are concerned, get it checked. But don't jump to conclusions.

                Thanks Janner. My mind can wander about this stuff. Since I have app'ts next week I'll show it to the doctors.

                      I saw the dermatologist today. He said it was likely an irritated mole although having fluid was sort of unusual. Both doctors looked at my skin ( I marked it since the scabs are almost gone) and didn't see anything to worry about. If the remaining scabs don't heal or if a raised blister type shows up on my skin come back. He didn't think a biopsy was necessary.

                              In my personal experience, melanoma-related ulceration comes and goes; you should have the biopsy done, if only for peace of mind. Cheap insurance if you will.
