Do all melanomas change over time or can they just appear and then not change for many months or years meaning you could not detect any visual change or change in feel? If a mole is suspicious but remains the same can it still be melanoma.

      Thank you for your answers.

Not likely, a mole that appears that is melanoma is a cancerous tumor, as with any cancerous tumor it will continue to grow and change over time. But, always see a dermatologist any time you have a mole that worries you, best to have peace of mind.

Mine changed drastically from August 2015 (when my wife first noticed it and brought it to my attention) until January 2016 (when I finally decided to do something about it).  Stage IIB.
