          None of the staining matters in the prognosis, it just identifies what the pathologist did to identify melanocytes.  You're not going to get your answer of in situ or stage 1a by analyzing the pathology report yourself.  Wait for your second opinion or call the pathologist and ask for his explanation but this isn't something you are going to get answered here or by searching the internet.
