Good morning,
I was wondering has anyone’s stage 1 come back in another area or spread to other organs. I have multiple nodules in both lungs (haven’t seen specialist to know if malignant or benign yet). But I’m concerned it could’ve spread to my lungs. Not sure what to think. I’ve read all the stage 1 materials on this sure. But my dermatologist did not test nearby lymph nodes so it makes me more concerned.
thanks in advance for any responses

Hi Debbie – can you tell us more about your initial diagnosis and treatment? I'm assuming that you had a mole biopsied/removed and were diagnosed Stage 1 and that you've subsequently had a scan that showed nodules in the lungs. Is this correct? Melanoma can and does spread from Stage 1. Do you have a follow up scheduled to review the scan results? This would be the next step in order to determine your current status and treatment plan/options.

Hi Debbie C, nice to meet you under our "shared" condition!, can i ask, "where" was your initial tumor removed? what they should be doing next { Bubbles, both Jen`s & Ed W. and the rest quote me if im wrong} is what it is called "Lymphnode Mapping", its usually done before the surgery or after im not sure} and they start the "Mapping" right near the lesion and see where the Map Dye injection ends up at {your nearest Lymphnodes} in a nut shell it replicates "if" the Melanoma has indeed traveled, wich direction would it have gone, thats the purpose i believe..Another thing, how where you properly "Staged?"..please keep us informed, now im no guru here, those few folks i mentioned earlier are and alot more to! theyll chime in in a few hours/days as they see your post…Keep cool & stay calm, feel "Lucky" you caught this early!…
