Yes, the angle is different and yes, the lighting may not be the exact 100% and the jpeg quality may be a bit different too, but this shows the difference. I think the tail (the little blurry brown thing under the mole) has grown and changed. The mole is still very small and I've had it for ages.

You cannot see the changes visually unless you have been watching it like a hawk, which I have.

I have a derm appt on Monday. I am FLIPPING OUT RIGHT NOW about to cry.

      can someone reassure me?

Yiou don't know enough to flip out now, jjust enough to be concerned.  Mo;es change for many reasons.  BE vigilant NOT paranoid.  The smart thing to do is to get it checked out.  When you get more date then don't totally flip, if it's melanoma.  The earlier found the better.  Have someone with you to listen to the Doc.  You will not remember much of what is said after
(IT IS ——)  If it were to be melanoma, sit down and cry (is there anyone here that didn't?)  Actually now is the best time in history (so far) to be diagnosed with melanoma.  Our melanoma world is a changing.  It is so far ahead of where it was when I was given 30-180 days to die in March 2007 with innumerable stage IV tumors.  Even at Stage IV and not having been NED since then, I am still living life.  Take a deep breath.    Learn, fight  and live.

That is the problem for me. not panicking. The VISUAL differences are basically none. You could hardly see, unless you have my sharp eye and know EXACTLY WHAT TO LOOK FOR. But the technology these days… I can blow up a 2 mm lesion to a 2000×2000 pixel image on my computer, practically microscopic!!!

I know the Evolution pictures show something from 6 mm to 10 mm. The picture I am showing you has a difference of 0.5 mm or something, it's literally not visible to your eye unless you knew exactly what to see.

I am thinking maybe my inspection relies heavily on my technology. If I didn't have the technology I wouldnt have the worries!!!!

                        Jerry,

That was a great response! You were told you gad 30-180 days to live, and you're still here, fighting the good fight and helping others fight it seven years later. That helps me in my own journey as I am waiting for a second opinion on my sentinel lymph node reading.

As for the original post, yes, sometimes we can be our own worst enemies because we have too much information that can make us go crazy with worry and anxiety. The good news is you're going to get that mole looked at, and you have found this board, full of rational and reassuring people.

Good luck to you! All the best.

No I have never had melanoma. I am just flipping out seeing the changes and the blurring of the edge in my recent pics…
