      Hi!

I'm scheduled for a left groin CLND tomorrow, and my doctor said he's going to do a sartorius muscle flap. He said I wouldn't really have any limitations afterward from that, but I forgot to ask specifically about skiing!!

Have any of y'all had this done and then gone skiing afterward? (Not like the next week, but anytime after the surgery, haha.)

      Thanks!

      V

I have had this done and haven’t went skiing but I did get lymphadema and I know you have to be careful of extreme hot or cold temps. I don’t have problems with the muscle, but I do with lymphadema. I can tell you lymphadema will change your life forever. They say not everyone gets it but I don’t see how that can be.

My husband had a lymphendectomy and developed lymph edema in the left arm. He wears a  compression sleeve and it has gotten quite a bit better over the last 3 months. Surgery was a year ago. He does ski with his sleeve on. . I suggest getting a consult with a lymph edema physical therapist immediately post surgery.
