I started Yervoy last week and up until today had not really felt any side effects other than an occasional "knot" in my stomach. Today my ability to concentrate has fallen off considerably and I am feeling slghtly dizzy. Has anyone on Yervoy had similar side effects? This is making work a challenge today!

          Hi Alan,

I began Yervoy as well (12 days ago) and havn't experienced any symptoms. I have read in my clinical trial package that being dizzy and forgetful can be a side effect in a smaller amount of people. There are common symptoms which are experienced by larger groups of people and then other random symptoms that affect 1% of people, so that could be you.  The only thing I've experienced is feeling hot at times, other than that, I've been told not to expect much until around 7 weeks (or after 2nd infusion). Everyone is different. TracyLee felt dizzy ipi, but I believe that was after Round 3.  Call your Dr if it becomes a concern as most symptoms need to be monitored.

Best of luck – hope ipi is your magic bullet!

Thank you Lisa for your response. Just feeling “off” today and not sure if it is from the ipi or from the slight swelling I have from the brain met. I will monitor and report to Dr if it continues.

                      Hi Alan,

Sorry to hear you're feeling off, but it's likely the ipi.  I also know that ipi can cause glandular problems – like pituatary (brain) which can cause headaches, but I'm not sure these side effects would manifest in a week.

I'm glad you're going to monitor how you feel and let your Dr know.  I'm sending you best wishes and prayers for a complete response with ipi.
