Just had my 3rd ACHT with cortisol test and my readings were faintly readable . Has anyone else been dealing with this issue and what are the side effects ? I’ve been told I will have a adrenal replacement therapy the rest of my life. I don’t mine it but really don’t want to keep taking pills forever??

Sorry to hear of your adrenal issues but hopefully you will knock the melanoma out of your life. I was on the ippi / novo combo and lost my adrenal, pituitary and thyroid glands. So I have to take a pill each day but I do not mind it because I've been NED for 5.5 years. The big picture is get rid of the cancer and one pill each day won't be so bad.

You can't live without the right levels of cortisol.  Those steroids you are taking will keep you alive.  Be thankful you have them!

Hi – my husband had the same issue and takes Levothryroxine, hydrocortisone and testosterone.  It's a small price to pay for beating melanoma.  Make sure you're working with an endocrinologist who is familiar with the side effects of immunotherapy.
