If he sailed thru a Craniotomy like I did, then he'll be fine on Gamma Knife (like I did too!).

Gamma Knife is easy, just a bit of discomfort as they fit the shield on your head for scanning, but besides that it's just half your day sitting in a bed while they give you an IV, fit your head with the brace, and then an hour or so in the machine while it does its work!  Honestly I think most people who had it say it's a cake walk compared to all other things we go thru!

The only things AFTER Craniotomy & Gamma Knife I've noticed is, on the left side of my head where my big tumor was removed and I had part of the gamma knife done, is I get alot of aching, not HEADACHES, but just aching like someone is sorta putting their hand there.  Can be from the weather and the titanium plates that are in there, etc.  I told the Brain doctor just yesterday about it and he said it's all normal within the first 6+ months after those two treatments to feel like that.

For men it doesn't matter, but as a woman, I did lose my hair in the spot where i got Gamma Knife done.  It grew back within a month after Craniotomy, then I had the Gamma knife, and it then fell out (due to the crap that's in Gamma knife or whatever), it took almost 3 months to regrow!  Sucked having 1/4 of my hair missing for awhile!   Then I got some small bumps that came up along the end spot where my incision was for the Craniotomy, almost like mosquito bite size bumps.  They've been there for almost 4+ months, and the Brain doctor said it's just probably from the two things I've had done up there, but they are fine, just like a reaction from Gamma Knife, all the toxic crap that's in that that kills the tumors!
