I know that MRI is better for what is going on in the brain, but is there anyone whose brain mets have been detected after a PET/CT scan? I am worried because had a clear PET/CT 1 month ago and lately been having headache which goes away with Tylenol, then comes up again. Brain MRI scheduled for next week. Have been on Keytruda for a year. Thanks and Happy New Year, may it bring more NED results!

Sorry, forget to mention that my mother is a patient, but here I am asking for a friend of mine who is also a patient.

Hi Tracy – my husband's neuro uses the MRI as the preferred diagnostic test but has gone back and looked at PET/CT scans to corroborate the MRI findings.  Headaches can be caused by low adrenal function which is a known side effect of Keytruda – have you had your cortisol levels checked?

Tracyyy, I recently had a PETCT and MRI on the same day. The PETCT report did not mention the small lesion in my brain, but the MRI report did. I asked for the MRI because they were "watching" a spot; I was asymptomatic.
