I just got referred to a dermatologist for a brand new lesion I discovered Monday, something which I have never seen the likes of before on my skin. When I first saw it, I first thought a piece of chocolate had fallen on my skin, but when I went to wipe it off, I discovered it was actually part of my skin!
Already I was concerned and took this close-up photograph of it (it's about 3 mm/0.125 inch long ways, so it's not that big yet):
Then Wednesday, I took this picture, and you can see skin returning to normal in the bottom portion:
And then Thursday, a huge chunk of the bottom portion is gone, but there seem to be greenish-yellowish raised areas developing in the lesion:
And Friday the bottom portion is completely gone, but you can see the raised areas clearly, which are greenish/yellowish (picture taken in evening sun):
I went to my primary care doctor today, and they referred me to a dermatologist.
The one thing I have a question about, though, is that melanoma often has a blue-white veil, which as I understand represents where the skin is getting thicker (where the lesion is growing vertically), but where the lesion grows vertically for me it's green-yellow instead. Also, green is not listed as one of the colors melanoma can have in the sources I have red. So where does this green come from?

Well, I guess I'm not set up to post pictures or something, so I gotta post links.
Here is the lesion as I discovered it Monday:

Here it is on Wednesday:

Here it is on Thursday:

Here it is yesterday (taken in evening sun, where you can see the green and yellow raised parts):

Now, today, it appears an area of normal skin is appearing on the upper part of the lesion.
