Got my scan results. There is still progression…around 10-12%…which is acceptable. It showed two spots on my spleen…first organ involvement…which was the deciding factor to end the trial. I've done Pembro. Prembro+ (Trial), Ipi, and ERK inhibtor (Trial). Since I had an issue with liver enzymes, any immunotherapy is now ruled out.

I have been offered another clinical trial. Have to wait 2-3 weeks for an opening.  There a 3 participants in this trial at this time. So far there have not been any reported side effects. If this doesn't work…

I feel good and living life pretty normal…looking forward to the holidays.

Keep up the good fight! There will be something that works.

Sending positive vibes your way for a trial that works for you Nick! This process can make it really easy to delve into the negative and make you want to give up. Having a great attitude helps push forward to the next thing. Sending hugs and wishing you a happy holiday season, despite melanoma being a stubborn you know what.

Hi Nick! I really admire you’re positive attitude, I just learned Nivo alone isn’t totally doing it for me and I nearly melted down. HA!

Anyways, I wanted to share this trial: https://blog.dana-farber.org/insight/2018/11/vaccine-implants-aim-train-immune-response-melanoma/?utm_source=twitter&utm_medium=social&utm_campaign=melanoma

I’m going to try the Ipi/Nivo combo first but, if I wasn’t, I’d be all over this one!

I wish you my very best and will be rooting for you to find your answer!

Brother Nick! long see no time! well, 10-12% isnt to bad in growth size, i mean, depending on "when" yer last scan was? if it was last done 2 weeks ago that would be a Terrible percentage haha..i imagine what? 2-4 months ago? slow growing is a victory. My 5.4cm Mel Monster was 2.2cm on April 24th 2018 CT scan, and as of Sept 17th 2018 its at 5.4cm! so, 5 months of fairly swift increase..I always enjoy your posts when you write, your humor has made me chuckle more then a few times brother……Anyways, Im Always behind ya brother {and im NOT Greek either, im Irish..take care..

                          Mike…

Thanks, buddy. My last scan was about 6 weeks prior. We have been watching these grow for about 2 years.

My mother is Irish. I was told by my derm that the Irish are the worst when it comes to melanoma…Italians are the least likely to develope it…I'm both. Go figure!

                          Stay strong, my brother!
