Hi ya`all, quick note to say hello and Happy New Year again, jeez lah weez 2019! like a good lotta you, i`ve been Stage 4 now for just about 15 months! and climbing! i dont think we`de be saying this back in the 1970`s, 80`s, 90`s or even early parts of the 2000`s right? we all have alot to be grateful for, i know i do, i mean, even though the Keytruda was "bitter/sweet" for me, and now the Yervoy & Opdivo is yet again "So So" in its fight against my particular strain of Melanoma, all 3 meds are atleast stopping & also "slowing" {in some tumors} the growth, im cool with that. You all remember the deep nerve pain iv complained about in the last year or less, well, oddly enough and knock on Wood, since my surgery DEC 17th I have not had those crippling, deep pains anylonger! WTH? and im way passed taking the Norcos they supplied me to! i stopped those on the 24th {Dec} and i know those are out my system, i havnt taken anything not even the  Naproxens or the "Gabapentins"  that you all suggested to take {wich i now have from my doc thank you!} really wierd, i guess that bigass tumor was causing it?? {still, knock on wood haha}…ya all take care, hope everyones fine…oh! PS: Did i already to tell you my tumor was not 5.7cm like the CT revealed??, it was 8.0cm! my surgeon said hay, the scanners get close but not percise!! thats just over 3inch! yixe!……..

Adios tumor!  Glad to hear you are recovering Mike.  8 cm, holy moly, that is a good size tumor that can pinch and block off a lot of stuff!  I'm so glad you go through this surgery, I know how big that is!  I'm scheduled for Brain Surgery (have a small mass in the pineal gland which is the deepest part of the brain) and I'm already making my excuses for not going through with it, but will try to take my own advice and get through it!  I'll channel your courage, you'll be right next to George Carlin as my other spirit animal 🙂

Gad to hear all has gone well Mike.  I’m in to get rid of the 5cm tumour in my arm tomorrow.  Hoping for a good result and continuing use of my hand.

                      hang in there

Bye bye beast in the chest! Let's hope this helps Opdivo set the rest of your immuno soldiers straight on the warpath for anything left milling around! Sometimes, the army isn't big enough to take on the tank along with the individual soldiers roaming though the woods…… but now that the enemy tank is off scene…. moooo ha ha ha ha! Super bonus good news with the loss of pains!
