Anyone know of a good dermatologist in the DC Metro area? I'm in Bethesda, so north of DC would be ideal, though anywhere in the area would also be fine. Thanks so much.

Suraj Venna is at the Washington Hospital Center; he does a lot of melanoma work and the melanoma effort at Georgetown/WHC/Medstar is growing with the addition a year ago of Mike Atkins, a medical oncologist with a strong melanoma research background.
I'm sure there are a number of others as well, and your choice may depend on what your needs are. If you want a dermatologist to do good skin checks, you have a lot of options. Norman Lockshin of DermAssociates in Silver Spring has put together a good group, for example. If you are a melanoma patient and need a good dermatologist as part of your treatment team, you need someone who works a lot in the field of melanoma. Dr. Venna fits that description.
