Hi, I am new to the group. Approximately 14 months ago, I developed an itchy mole while pregnant. I got really anxious and immediately removed most of it with iodine (poor choice), then went to a derm to biopsy what was left of it because I realized it was a bad move. Instead of biopsy, she froze what was left because I was pregnant, and she thought it looked like a seborrheic keratosis (which I have had multiple of). I then learned that it should’ve been biopsied and I went back and had them biopsy the scar (3 times, to be exact). No melanoma was ever found, however after having it removed, I developed pain in the leg (mole was on my left knee), and then I also started having intermittent groin pain (have had it off and on for many months now). About 3 months ago I had a lymph node in my groin that got really sore after shaving over my scar. I had a CT scan of my pelvis which showed no swollen lymph nodes. But I still get this random shooting type pain in my groin off and on (not 100% sure it is from my lymph nodes). My sisters both have history of melanoma moles being removed (they were superficial). My doctors are not concerned and my derm said she went deep with the biopsy and would’ve found malignant cells if they were there. I am also dealing with sacroileal joint pain as well, which complicates things (can cause groin pain). Would love any feedback from this group. If it were melanoma in my groin lymph node, would those nodes eventually swell? Thanks for the feedback!
