My scans were yesterday and results tomorrow after Yervoy treatment. I'm incredibly nervous, but I also remain quite hopeful. I've had a great few days – celebrated my daughter's 2nd birthday, went trick or treating with her and also went for a jog and felt wonderful. I was diagnosed 6 months with Stage 4 in my lungs and here I am jogging without feeling anything.
The fact that I feel pretty darn good has to say something, so I truly hope that all my wishes and prayers get me some good news tomorrow.

Wow, my sister is also in Stage IV with pulmonary metastasis, dianosed this August. Really wanna know how IPI is going on with you. And did you ever hear of Anti-Pd1 or the clinical trila "pazaponib"? We're Chinese and too bad that very few doctors in China specialize in Melanoma. Really wanna keep up with the latest development in melanoma drugs in USA. Keep us informed. Thanks.

Hi Fenny,
I'm really sorry to hear about your sister advancing to Stage 4. I know your sister and your family are probably scared, but there are a few more options for melanoma now that wern't available even a year ago.
I have heard good things about the Anit-PD1 clinical trial, but this trial is not available once you've done ipi (or not right away). I chose ipi over IL-2 because my lung nodules were small (all under 1cm, except for one was 1.2cm). ipi needs time to work and I knew I had time to see if it did work. If this doesn't work for me (and I have to believe it will), then at least I'm healthy enough to do IL-2 or other trials.
I'm sure being Chinese, there arn't alot of melanoma Dr's – obviously because this may be rare in your Country. However, if your sister can enter a clinical trial for ipi or Anti-PD1, then it's great to start something right away.
Best of luck to your sister!

Good luck with the results Lisa, I really hope the first scans show good results.
I'm extremely nervous about my last infusion this Friday, and then my scans π

Good luck tomorrow Lisa, we all know the feeling of deep anxiety from the scans is taken to the results is told. To get you cheered up a little bit mayby: My wife, aged 39, had about 15 mets in her lungs, the biggest 36 mm and active. Ipilimumab took care of most of them. Now only 4-5 remaining, not active, all of them most likely necrotic tissue according to our doctor. Ipilimumab is a miracle, I hope for you too π
