Hi all hope you all are good as can be expected. Please can who has had or on keydruda give me there experience with side effects. When started and what. I have only had 1 dose not much side effects apart from little upset stomach and strange pins and needle feeling in arms and hands on and off. I am off for second dose Tuesday coming. The consultant said it can interfere with the nerves.

Hello Scooby – my husband was on keytruda for about 5 months last year. He got a rash on his arms, chest & legs and then vitiligo. He started getting some mild colitis toward the 5th month so he was taken off as the tumor resolved itself. Not bad side effects at all. If I remember correctly, he did not suffer any fatigue, nerve issues or vomiting.
Hope this helps. Wishing you much success with this treatment. It has done much for so many.
Julie.

Hi Scooby I had the same side effects as Julie's husband – Severe rash and viitiligo. I only had three Keytruda treatments but the rash began immediately. Prednisone took care of that. Five months later I started with vitiligo. My last two scans have been stable. No other side effects for me. I was on Ipi/nivo
previously and had to stop because of pancreas and thyroid issues that were resolved with meds
Good luck with treatment

Hi Scooby. I was on Keytruda for a total of 8 infusions. I'm no longer on it due to side effects and scans showing Ned. At first I was a little fatigued starting after the 1st infusion. Also had some nausea but nothing too bad. Then after about the third dose I developed joint pain. After the 5th dose I was in so much pain in my joints that we stopped keytruda and had me see a rheumatologist. Found out I developed inflammatory arthritis from the Keytruda so i was put on prednisone and plaquenil. Stayed on both meds and restarted keytruda a month and a half later. Did three more doses and stopped because scans show ned. Hope all goes well with your second infusion.

I had a weird reaction after my second infusion-I lost the hearing in one of my ears! Caught it right away and predinsone took care of it straight away. Had five more infusions and only sufferred from a bit of fatigue, but unfortunately my tumor kept growing so changed treatment plans.

I have been on Keytruda for over 6 months now. I have a minor rash from time to time and a little bit of fatigue. My only other side effect is joint stiffness. I walk like an old man for a few days after each treatment. All in all none of my side effects have been difficult to live with. Best of luck to you tomorrow.

Hi Scooby,
Even though you've gotten a good number of responses I thought I'd weigh in, too. I was on Keytruda for about 1.5 years. The only side effects I experienced were a mild rash and moderate itching, and some mild fatigue that seemed to get worse the more infusions I had, but was never so bad as to be debilitating. Not nearly as bad as the side effects I experienced from ipi.

Hi Scooby,
I've been on Keytruda for 8 months and have had no side effects. Hope the same for you.

Been a couple months since I was on the board….hope this still helps. I had three infusions of Keytruda and had the rash/itchiness that ended up going away. The thing that surprised us was autom-immune arthritis. It was bad enough to discountinue treatment. It's been treated with prednisone and the symptoms are almost gone. Fortunately, I've had two clean scans.
