          Hi Sharon.

My son has his LDH drawn prior to every treatment. His last level was 129. I get a copy of his bloodwork from the doc each time so I can compare week to week. All his levels have been normal and have stayed  relatively the same so far during his treatment. We are 5 1/2 months in.

          I hope this helps.

          Kelly 🙂

I do get a print out each visit but I can also go on My Penn and see all his resuults as well. The beginning it went in the upper 200's but has been now in the 150"s.

Sharon, the fact that your son's LDH levels are going down while he is on treatment is a good indicator that his current treat is having positive effect. The scans will tell the real story, of course. Here is another link, from 2016.

That should read read "current treatment." Melanoma is certainly more of a trick than a treat.

                    Hi,

my fathers ldh levels were always in the normal range, even with mets in his lungs, so for me, this marker is not that important…

In my country they also do S-100 marker and it was always higher than normal when he had mets, now it's in normal range… so for us at least, it was always more reliable than ldh…
