Sorry, can't understand your questions well. It would be better if you describe your situation

We know its forsure melanoma had lumps removed the one on forarm had a mole and it grew changed colors then a lumps grew under the skin about the size of a golf ball and a few months later lymph node under arm pit swelled surgeon removed and biospsied them and they showed positive for melanoma. We see oncologist tuesday. I guess my question is in general is it considered matastisized melanoma when a tumor grows in area where melanoma mole is and also cause enlarged lymph node

Sorry, your original post sounded like you hadn't had anything checked out yet. With this info it sounds like maybe in transit or sub cutaneous tumors. It doesn't happen for everyone but can happen. I don't believe it would be metastasized as in stage 4, but I could be wrong. When it spreads to lymph nodes that is considered local spread, in the stage 3 realm. When it goes further than the area of the primary melanoma or regional lymph nodes then it is definitely metastisized and in the stage 4 realm at that point. The oncologist should be able to explain it all to you. Hopefully you're seeing a melanoma oncologist and not a general one, as they will be much more informed and up to date especially when it comes to treatments.

Good, it is always best to have an extra person there to help remember everything and ask the questions. I used to be a patient that didn't ask many questions and with the help of my significant other through this process I have gotten a lot better at it, but I would definitely lose half the info walking out the door if he wasn't there to help remember with me.

Will you be seeing a melanoma specialist?  That is absolutely the most important thing to do at this point. General oncologists simply cannot keep up in the fast-paced world of melanoma, and you want to be at a center where trials are available.

Melanoma shows differently for everyone. If you have a mole you are worried about, make an appointment and get it biopsied.  Lymph nodes swell for so many reasons, it does not automatically mean anything bad. Nothing more we can tell you, just go get it checked out. Majority of moles are benign, so don't jump to conclusions yet.
