I am confused and very much disatrubed with this

Is colostomy only option for this? any exepert in this forum can suggest me the exact tretment.

      Thanks with Regards,

      Vikas

after performing colostomy, do he will have normal life with stomy bag?

or will it affect the normal routine life?

You might look at posts from "JerryFromFauq" or his profile at:  http://www.melanoma.org/community/profiles/jerryfromfauq

He was original thought to have a hemorrhoid that was actually melanoma.  Anal melanoma is quite rare and there aren't a lot of people on this site with that diagnosis.

                      Best wishes,

                            Hi Vikas,

Your father's melanoma falls under the class of "mucosal melanoma" My Mother has mucosal melanoma of a different type. Both are very rare. I can't tell you much about your father's surgery. What I can tell you is that they should test his tumor for the braf mutation and also c-kit.  It's not that unusual to find the c-kit mutation with  anal melanoma. Having the  tumor tested opens up so many other options for treatment.  I hope this little bit of information helps.
