Having done quite a few liquid biopsy since my July 2016 diagnosis, I think this is extremely welcomed but still far away in time from the established clinical setting. Her 2016 presentation is worth watching as she describes well the main three techniques for tracking melanoma in our blood.

I have been posting research and data about numerous blood assays that could do anything from id, quantify, or type melanoma for years. These simple blood test could predict response, measure outcomes, and advise us when treatments are helping or failing us sooner than radiologic studies can. Here's a link to some of the data: https://chaoticallypreciselifeloveandmelanoma.blogspot.com/2018/07/circulating-tumor-cellsdna-in-melanoma.html
A zillion links within. For what it's worth! Celeste
