Hello My special someone has been diagnosed and has had a small surgery removing some of this melanoma cancer. I would like to know if anyone who has had similar symptoms can tell me how to communicate with my special someone. Im trying to understand how to support and what I can do to be there for.

Do you happen to know what stage this person is? We might give different advice for an early stage lesion versus something more serious. The survival rates and therefore the support is quite different for different stages. If all this person had was a simple surgery to remove the initial cancer and nothing more, then that probably implies earlier stage. If they tested the lymph nodes and they were negative, also earlier stage but not as early as the first category. If the lymph nodes were positive, it implies something else. So if you could give us a bit more information, you might get more help. Given the holiday week, though, this place seems a little slow.
Best wishes,
