i’ve had this mole for a long time. It is smaller than 6mm in diameter and the only thing “off” about it is the variation in color. It is not raised what so ever. Should i be concerned and consult a derm?

No one here can diagnose and we tend to be overly cautious because we've all dealt with melanoma.  For a non-changing mole with no only a color variation, I wouldn't be overly concerned.  However, everyone should see a derm and I recommend you do so and have all your skin checked.  Then you have a baseline and expert opinion.
