So back in February I had a wide incision done on a 1mm, Clarks level IV melanoma mole on my back.  Had PET/CT scan and ulstrasounds done all come back clear.  Also had another quick check over at skin cancer clinic where we went over other moles and did photographs.  The doctor mentioned to me that it is not always moles to keep a look out for but more like red marks on the skin that are new.  So I now have this small red spot on my face that is concerning me.  It is not going away.  A beautician happened to mention it last time I was getting my eybrows waxed

It's very unlikely that that your face issues have anything to do with the melanoma that was removed from your back.  But you are right to be vigilant and to have anything out of the ordinary seen by a doctor.

I have been dealing with this disease for 17 years, so I've learned that not everything is cancer, and I usually wait a couple of weeks to see if things resolve by themselves.  However, if you are relatively new to this such waiting can be hard emotionally.

          Best wishes,

          Harry

I’ve recently been diagnosed and feel ‘paranoid’ about all my moles and different pains within my body that before I probably would’nt have noticed. I’ve had two additional spots removed and both were fine. I would suggest seeing your dermatologist for their professional advice.. I feel better having a professional review my concerns and then can sleep better. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing! Good luck!
