Diagnosed with stage 3a in December 2016 and continue to have other moles biopsied and now have 2 additional sites (MOHS surgery). PETscan in November 2016 was clean.

Am I pursuing the correct treatment of watching and seeing dermatologist and oncologist  every 3 months or is there something more proactive I need to do?

I am 3A as well, but am doing the Ipilumimab treatments.  I had my first infusion last week.

Thanks for the reply.  Do you mind sharing why you decided to do immunotherapy?

If possible and doctors agree – it's good to check the brain – MRI and other parts of body – CT scan

Is this response due to Stage III of prior, multiple sites, or both ?

I am asking due to concern about possible occult micrometastases after one Stage IIb WLE and SLNB with one prior / two subsequent Stage 1 WLE procedures.

My surgical oncologist does not feel that additional scans are required at this point.

                  Thank you.

The stage 3a was at the first site, the subsequent sites have been stage one.
