      Hello lovelies

Hope you are all well today

My mum has completed her 10 sessions of SRS and 2 infusions of Yervoy+Opdivo (out of 4)

She is still on Dexamethasone (10 mg) once a day

      Hydrocortisol (also 10) x 2 day

      Thyroxine (100 mg)

Her face got bigger (like a bit swollen), but her legs and arms are much smaller than they used to be. After SRS – her hands shake to the point it is difficult to hold a spoon. She is craving sweets all the time

Also, yesterday, when she missed a dose of dexamethasone she long consciousness. She is OK now after taking it.

From your experience, guys, does is sound like normal side effects? I am worried sick. Also, after which dose of Yervoy+Opdivo did you doctors ordered scans to check on progress?

      Thank you xxx

…and if it is side effect, what can we do, in your experience, to make it better, please?

Definitely watch the blood test results. They should be doing boood tests before each infusion. The results will tell you if there are known side effects occurring. For example, it sounds like she has experienced hypophisitis because I see she is being prescribed thyroid and cortisol (hydrocortisone). The fainting sounds like her cortisol got too low.

Scans typically tell us about disease regression whereas the blood work tells us about overall health and side effects.

I’m sure others will chime in. Hopefully this is helpful.

The first scan after starting treatment usually happens a few weeks after the main doses are done, so it should be after her 4th infusion.
