      What is the longest melanoma has gone NED?

          My husband has stage 4. Was NED for 3 1/2 years on no treatment.

            That's not a very realistic question.  Much depends on the stage.  But at all stages, there are people who have had their melanoma removed and never dealt with it again.  Certainly that happens more at the earlier stages but it can happen even at stage IV.

              Several people on this bord have been NED for 10 years or more – even with advanced stage melanoma

                Coming up on 25 years following a complete response to IL-2 at NIH in 1992.

                  7 years NED from stage IV.  VATS lung surgery & 23 bags of IL-2.
