Hi friends,
M34 stage IV off to India on holidays in two weeks and considering taking Dukoral (an anti-cholera and diarrea vaccin dissolved in water and taken twice before departure).
Would you see taking Dukoral as any risk to my ongoing Nivolumab treatment?
Will ask my medical team but wanted your views.
Best,
Magnus

Happy hols,
Was curious and looked up Dukoral ..seems to be a non live vaccine so inb theory OK with immunotherapy like a flu shot….but I would still think its a good idea to check with your team as you say.
Best wishes
Deb

Dead vaccines are ok, live ones not. I and others have gotten flu shots while on immunotherapy and been ok'd by our oncologists. I'd say this dead vaccine will probably be ok too.

I have been to India, never asked for any shots or vaccines. At friends recommendation, I took with me a bootle of strong vodka, "to wash hands" and "drink after meals", but really never got to open it, there was no need for it at all. No diarhea, nothing, just enjoyed my 3 months stay there.
