      Hey everyone…

Finished my first cycle of trial of a combo of prembro and enoblituzumab and had my scan. Unfortunately, there is still progression. We are continuing the second cycle (reduced to six weeks) and scheduled another scan then. If there is no sign of reduction, I'm out of the trial.

That would leave me with my back-up plan…Yervoy. Either as a mono or as combo trial. Either way, I still have options. Sure one of the these will work.

Other than that, I feel fine…no side effects. If it wasn't for the scans, I won't even know that I have anything wrong with me. (MRI still shows brain activity).

Keep up the the good fight my brothers and sisters!

      Nick

Well, poop, Nick!!!!  However, I'm just going to keep fingers and toes crossed that your next scans will show a different story!  As Agarwala and Weber said, "Be patient with the patient!"  I'm going to hope that you just need another minute!!!  But…you are right!  Either way…you have options!!  Hang in there!  celeste

Thanks Celeste. I know I may be jumping the gun on this, but, as you know, it's hard to be patient. I also am keeping everything crossed…planning for the worst, hoping for the best.

Hi Nick, first off best wishes that the next scans show a nice response or stable disease!!! If you are interested in a little reading, Dr. Weber put out a paper this week on Onclive on the evaluation criteria that is used in standard chemo world (RECIST) vs changes that are needed in evaluation with Immunotherapy drugs called (irRC). It is a pretty interesting read and it is always worth asking your Oncologist how they are evaluating your scans!!! Take care!!!Ed http://www.onclive.com/publications/oncology-live/2018/vol-19-no-2/new-criteria-needed-to-evaluate-immunotherapy-responses

Thanks Ed. It has more to do with protocals set by the drug company than anything else.

Hang in there, Nick! Fortunately there are many options, but here's hoping a bit more time will tell a different story. — Carol

                    Hey Nick,

Sorry I'm late on the response, I've been off of the board for a little while. So, I have to agree with Celeste on this (via Dr. Weber) and I'm hopeful they give you some more time on study before making any big decisions. The more I talk with people and my docs, the more I realize that many people don't start seeing stable disease or tumor reduction for some time with immunotherapies. Praying that is the case with you buddy. If not, it seems like more trials are coming out all the time and leaps are being made.

                    Warrior on brother.
