Hello, so Im in a bit of a panic. Yesterday while just random feeling the back of my Knee I felt a little bump and at first thought it was a Blood Blister. Wife said def looks like some kind of mole. I have never noticed this before so quickly made an appointment with Dermatologist.

she did a scrape Biopsy but didnt say it looked good/bad etc so Ive been kind of worried. Im 37, no history of skin cancer in family.  The size was about 1/2 the size of Pencil eraser and seemed more raised yesterday than it did this morning. Anyway. Its off me now but here is a pic I took this morning before it was scraped off.

If the biopsy shows anything they won’t delay in getting you back for a wider area removal (WLE).

I personally had a 6mm nodular uclerated beast and would like more people to be as concerned as you are with moles that have this appearance. We still don’t fully understand how nodulars progress and at what speed (though that obviously varies bewteen cases).

You did the right thing and no news is good news. If you hadn’t had had the biopsy that would be cause for concern, but you’ve got this!!

No one can tell you from a picture if a lesion is melanoma or not.  Only a biopsy.  With that being said, I don't think you need to panic.  That doesn't look like any nodular melanoma I've ever seen — more like just a typical mole.  The good news is that you got it taken off, it will be biopsied, and if there is anything unusual going on you can get it treated!  Our minds can be our worst enemies.  Don't fret until there is something to fret about!
