      Hi All,
I received news today that one of the moles taken out last week is in fact a melanoma. This after just a little more than 5 years since the last one (which was my first). Because I go for regular check ups, we caught it early and doc says it’s superficial. What I want to know is whether anyone with a superficial melanoma has experienced fatigue, dizziness and intermittent nausea. I really haven’t actually been feeling physically well the last few weeks but don’t know if it’s just fear and paranoia. I’d live to hear from you if you’ve had similar symptoms at the same stage Thabk you!

If this lesion is, in fact, early and your previous one was also early, then I'd say look for a more obvious explanation than melanoma for your symptoms.  Your symptoms are not very indicative of anything related to melanoma – not typical symptoms.  Inner ear infection, vertigo – there are so many more common reasons to have those symptoms than melanoma – go with obvious first!

Thank you! You are right, I’m just being paranoid! At least I’m over the shock of hearing the news now and can start a new day with a fresh attitude. Thank you!

would recommend a full physical.  Feb 2017 i had a fever and cough, dr did tests and chest xray.  Xray came back pneumonia or lung mass.  So we repeated xray 1 month later and it was lung mass, ctscan recommended, petscan etc.  I had 6 tumors light up.  And what is weird is in that same month I had my first and only migraine, two bouts of vertigo, before i had the 2nd chest xray  and haven't since. And waking up with hives a few nights.  I think my body was telling me something was wrong.  So for peace of mind go get a full physical.  Obviously what we thought was lung cancer was melanoma, but I do have a lung mass.  Will get new Petscan Mon to see how things are going on the inside after 3 treatments of Opdivo/Yervoy.
