Found a spot, black, on my husbands foot tonight. It is nearly perfectly round, hard and very black. Don't know how long it's been there and I can't figure out how to upload a picture. He say no biggie it doesn't hurt but I've got a sick feeling in the pit of my stomach. It is a little larger than a pencil eraser. Should I worry. I texted his doctor anyway but won't hear from her until at Monday. Thoughts please!

Hi there,
Glad you reached out, this is a really supportive community. Although I am no expert I would say well done for being proactive and being ready to take action. Personally I now live by the mantra if you are uneasy about something get it removed. At this time doing something is better than nothing. It may be nothing, in which case all good. I am sure others will post here with more words for you.
All the best.

Rather than worry, do something, and that is see a dermatologist as soon as possible. If its new, and the least bit unusual have them remove it for biopsy. Its not a big deal. Even a well shaped, somewhat normal looking, but larger, or different than normal mole could indicate something. I know.

Get it removed. My son was 17, healthy as could be, mid soccer season and said he had a freckle on the side of his head that bugged him when he wore a hat. That's it. No family history. We never see doctors. Just that tiny freckle. 18 mo later….here we are. I am not at all saying yours is serious!! You just never know or see this kind of thing coming. My son is stage for and fighting for his life. One tiny freckle. We removed it….get a skin check. That's our mantra! No tanning beds!
Skin cancer is real.
prayers that spot on the bottom of his foot is nothing:) But glad you are willing to make sure!
let us know. This is a really good group of people!
