For the last month or so, my mom has had excessive gas and flatulence. Nothing painful or concerning on its own, but just out of the ordinary. It coincides with her starting treatment, but I'm not sure if the treatment itself caused it–it might just have started to happen around that time. Her diet is pretty healthy and hasn't changed: low meat, no processed sugar, high fruits/vegetables, not more soy than usual, and no beans. Maybe it's excess fiber?
Has anyone else had this? If so, were you ever able to identify what caused it? And did it get better or worse as time went on? My only concern would be that seems benign right now, but could be an indicator of something that could be more serious down the line.

I experienced this while after being on IV antibiotics and steroids. I was burping like a trucker and the flatulence was outrageous. I added a probiotic to my diet and the excessive gas resolved. Once I was off the steriods the burping subsided. It wasnt a listed side effect but was definitely interesting.
