Not to be rude, but are there requirements to post a blog?

My husband was dx'd with Melanoma on Dec 19th 2018. and my name is Jen, under the circumstances it's nice to make your aquaintence Mr. Williams.  If you would like to see his path report, you can find it word for word under my initial post:  Scared and terrified wife — Husband dx'd with Melanoma Superficial Spreading.  I hope that sastifies your questions as to who exactly I am.  I am a scared and terrfied wife of a husband who for the first time in 27 years of marriage my husband is sick. regardless of stage.  So as a way to stay positive and half way keep my own sanity I set up a blog to keep track of our journey.   If you would like to know anything else about me please feel free to ask.

This paragraph full of info might be a good addition to what you've already posted on the page. Some way to introduce yourself and your hubs and how you came to hear those three words nobody wants to hear. Think of it like standing in front of an audience of folks who know NOTHING about you, him, or melanoma. Tell your story to the audience of strangers.

Thank you Niki. I didn't think about putting that as the first part. I am so scatterbrained and off kilter. I have MS and my husband has cancer – I guess we are made for each other – I tell him if it gets to the point that he has to have infusions of xyz drug then maybe we can his infusions scheduled to match mine and we can spend some quality time together … or at least make the best out of it.

I didn't see any requirements and it's free at blogspot, I'm going to use it as a journal and hopefully someone who stumbles across it, if they are going through the same thing will take a little comfort in knowing they are not alone. – thank you for the warm welcome. I appricate your kindness and it's nice to meet you as well…

That was my point.  Not to be rude to Ed, but thought it was an unusual question for him to ask.  I think any of us who wish to blog should do so and in addition, those blogs will be of value to someone else with similar disease experience or emotional response to it.  Looking forward to reading it!

Welcome to the club nobody wishes to be a part of. You're correct that it's terrifying, particularly upon initial diagnosis… all of the learning and all of the unknown is quite a swirl! Aaaaaand to be hit with things around the holidays when you're already plenty stressed with other things. UGH. Blog it out! I began mine for the same reasons… to get it out of my head, to let people know how things were going (because well meaning family and friends can drive you crazy trying to follow up with all the email and text!), and to encourage other people who may be experienceing the same worries/emotions. At this point, I have two docs who use my story and website link as part of their speeches and powerpoint presentations! Whiiiich reminds me… I seriously need to get in there an post a more current update and some new research items! You don't need to be fancy with your blog site… just put your feelings and info out there… for YOU. 🙂
