      My names Heidi. 2 years ago my son had a mole removed from his ear and at the time we were told it was a spitz nevus. We thought nothing more about it until a lump appeared on the same ear. The hospital removed that too and told us it was melanoma and they now think the first mole was misdiagnosed.

      Now we are left wondering what stage his melanoma is and after weeks of MRI, CT and Ultrasound scans with the pathologists meeting weekly to disguss the results we still havnt been told what stage it could be and the consultant aparently doesnt know. Is this normal and after the initial misdiagnosis could it have made things worse for him? Hes 13 years old now and none of the scans show any problems that we've been told about but im so stressed that the hospital ar'nt telling us anything and the Consultant was very negative and added to my worries.

      I know a lot of you have been through so much and maybe our problem may not be as bad but please anyone?
