Hi everyone,This is my first time posting but I come on here almost daily to read everyone’s updates.
My dad has been on Zel for about 5 months and has had most of the side effects everyone has posted about. The past week or so his had a sore/swollen knee. I’m just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I know joint pain is very common while on Zel. His having a scan on his knee in about a weeks time but I just worry about every little thing now.Hope you all had a lovely Christmas!

It's interesting to me that you posted this. I've been on Z since April and never had leg pain. Until Christmas Eve. Wrapped gifts on the floor the day before and woke up Christmas morning unable to getout of bed on my own without major pain to my knee. I've stayed off my leg as much as possible since and iced/heated it. Today I can get up again with little pain. Tomorrow I'll be back at the Y doing the aqua ease class to help with what pain is left.

Hey,
While I can't speak to sore knees exactly, I can say that in the year I was on Zelboraf, I had, at one time or another, crazy soreness in every joint in my body (shoulder, elbow, wrist, fingers, possibly the knee). The funny thing was how it would always take me a couple of days to realize that something wasn't actually wrong — that it was all just a side effect of the drug. I wouldn't worry too much about your dad's knee, especially since he's getting a scan so soon.
Good luck!
