Nothing good available other than trial, which is the best option. Trial could offer a new drug that actually has a chance of working. If you don't want to go into a trial, watch and wait is the best option, getting regular scans and seeing your doctor. Latest studies proven that Interferon is no better than watch and wait. And with watch and wait there are no side effects.

Thanks there is a trial available in another province 2 hours away. I am interested in participating however I am concerned my oncologist is not pushing for me. My next oncologist appointment is April 13. I had my dissection on March 3. I know there are only three spots left and have called and emailed my oncologist, my plastics, my dermatologist for a referral and I am not getting a response. I am considering going to media for help. The trial offers patient/physician choice of HDI/IPI versus Keytruda.
I will not take HDI but I would take one of the other meds.

OK.. So interested in trial.. You can find details of sponsor via clinical trials.gov. If you contact sponsor co and trial co ordinator you might be able to get some movement from local team ?
You really want details of coordinator for that trial in that state and it should be listed on the locations list of trial details.
Hope it helps

I am stage 3c,had neck dissection in June 2016, 2 tumors removed successfully. Onc recommended interferon as treatment option but we found the MEK trail online in moncton, NB. Luck was on my side received keytruda instead of interfeon. 7 injection so far – fatigue, dry skin, minor headaches, upset stomach are my side effects. Currently I am NED and coping Well. If you can find a trail it is a good option, each trail has different conditions for entry, but it worth checking out. Good luck
