      Hello all,

I haven't been here in years. My hubby was NED stage III November 2006 after a lymph node dissection. I stayed around here for a few years but found that I was staying worried all the time. We found out today that Willie's cancer has returned. We go next week for scans. He has an unknown primary. What's new as far as treatment these days.

      Thanks for reading!

Take a look at the posts below and find Bubbles post, she has a link to her blog where you can find every thing that you need including dress making information ( not for everyone). Celeste has been helping Melanoma patients as long as I have been on the forum and is my pick for Melanoma poster of the year!!! Best Wishes!!!Ed

Sorry for what you and your husband are currently facing, Shannon.  Ed is far too kind (and everybody needs sewing skillz!!!) but here is a link to a response I made to a poster who had recently progressed to Stage IV as well:  https://www.melanoma.org/find-support/patient-community/mpip-melanoma-patients-information-page/just-diagnosed-stageiv-left

It's a down and dirty break down of current therapies.  You may search my blog for much more info. Additionally, this forum is filled with many who have a great deal of information and support to share.

Hang tough.  Ask quesitons when you have the need.  I wish you and your husband well.  Celeste

Noticed a lump on back of head above where the Mel was the 1st time. Hoped it was a pimple or ingrown hair. It got larger. 3 1/2 weeks ago started with a fever and just felt crappy. After a few days noticed a swollen lump under his arm and a lump on his temple on the other side. Made appts with PCP and Onc. PCP treated for Lyme's since he had gotten a tick off him. Onc wanted to see him after antibiotics were done. Tick borne disease tests were negative. Still feverish and lethargic after Doxy. Tested for Mono, negative. His PCP was grasping for anything. He was so shocked the first time he didn't want to admit it could be this again. Fine needle aspiration at Onc in node under arm. Confirmed Melanoma. We have scans coming up Wed. and meet with Medical Onc Thursday. Still feverish, achy, no energy and 2 more lumps after appeared in different locations. He's 46.
