Thanks for that link Gene and sorry to the group if I'm esoteric with the following comments.  Is there a better forum for these nutritional topics?

The first article is interesting to me since my mel is travelling in the lymph system from node to node. I’m not sure if all mel is the same in this regard since some afflicted with it develop brain bone mets, etc. but there are many cases in lymph nodes.  Anyway with regard to the lymph system, the article suggests modulation or reduction of the Th17 helper T-cells (blockade) favors tumor inhibition since it allows a better ratio/balance of Th9 cells which are implied to reduce tumors. So it’s a balancing act between these two types of immune cells which are related to inflammation response

Here’s something I found on the subject (I know the website name seems quackish but the author has credentials http://www.chiropractic-biophysics.com/clinical_chiropractic/2010/10/23/resveratrol-and-curcumin-reversing-a-paradigm.html

This one’s very detailed discussion, see conclusion section :http://www.hindawi.com/journals/ecam/2011/548086/

I'm sure there are many more sites discussing this topic so the above is just a cursory search. I’ve read here before about people supplementing with resveratrol and curcumin and I’m thinking of taking these to modulate Th17 cells as suggested. I looked at the prices of these supplements and they are very high, does anyone know a good source? Also would they be better absorbed sublingually than swallowed? I wonder has someone developed a lozenge or something?

            Todd,

RE: Thanks for that link Gene and sorry to the group if I'm esoteric with the following comments.  Is there a better forum for these nutritional topics?

I don't know about a better forum (yet) but my best recommended health site is http://www.naturalnews.com   sign up for the daily free email, a must reading!

RE: Anyway with regard to the lymph system

Remember that your lymph system is designed to remove the garbage out of your body.

Check this out… They compare brands and costs and quality of almost all vitamins and supplements.
