My husband had to have SRS in September 2014 soon after starting Pembro, and is currently doing very well.  This is so exciting, isn't it Celeste ?  Best.  Françoise

This looks new,  June 28th is the date on the study.  Here it is: http://www.cancernetwork.com/radiation-oncology/concurrent-srs-immunotherapy-improved-response-melanoma-brain-mets

Why not just post it here instead of your blog?

The study in question was reported in Cancer on June 10.  I posted the abstract along with another related abstract and additional commentary on June 13.  It was discussed in a thread here on MPIP on June 18.  I publish and discuss many, many melanoma related studies among other things on my blog.  I only post them here when they seem super new and beneficial to many or when they seem particularly pertinent to an individual at the time.  I don't imagine that everyone wants to see everything I publish.  That's why I blog.  Folks are free to look at it or not…as they choose.  Hope that helps.  Celeste

Amen, sister.  For an ever growing group of us (myself with SRS followed by nivo, in 2010) including President Jimmy Carter….it is a very hopeful combo and the confirmation that combining those things sooner rather than later may be very helpful to others as well.  Now….let's just find even more ways to help even more folks!!!  c
